Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Services Specialist – Commissioning to manage field resources and perform commissioning services at customer sites. You will install, test, and calibrate Bently Nevada hardware and software, troubleshoot issues, and communicate findings with customers.

The role requires a High School Diploma or B.S. in engineering, 4+ years of instrumentation experience, strong PLC/Modbus/OPC knowledge, and 65–80% travel with valid passport.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years in instrumentation and/or process control (industrial env preferred).
• Proficiency with electronics or mechanical systems troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows OS.
• Willingness to travel 65–80% incl. weekends; valid passport & driver’s license.

As a Field Services Specialist, you will manage resources & logistics, perform services and maintenance activities at customer sites. These activities include maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing Bently Nevada hardware and software as part of the Cordant Solutions package.

As a Field Services Specialist , you will be responsible for:

• Perform testing and validation of equipment, facilities, or plants to ensure compliance with design objectives and operational specifications.

• Install and configure Bently Nevada hardware and software for machine protection and monitoring.

• Respond to emergency repair requests and troubleshoot problematic equipment.

• Provide technical instruction and assistance to customers on installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance.

• Prepare technical reports, job status updates, material orders, quotations, and time/expense sheets.

• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly through reports and verbal communication.

• Maintain calibration of specialized tools and adhere to standardized project processes and guidelines.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• Have High School Diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in instrumentation and/or process control (preferably in an industrial environment), OR have bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronics, Chemical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Electrical) from an accredited college or university, OR have Equivalent experience in instrumentation and/or process control.

• Have Strong troubleshooting skills in electronics or mechanical systems; knowledge of hardware, PLCs, Modbus, OPC, networking, and serial communication protocols.

• Have Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows OS.

• Have Ability to travel 65–80% of the time, including weekends as required; valid passport and driver’s license required.

• Have Eligibility for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) or obtain to get one.
