Job summary

General Atomics Systems Integration, LLC (GA-SI) seeks a Field Services Manager in San Angelo, TX. You will direct activities, schedules and priorities of staff to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

You will represent the organization with customers, plan field installations, manage repairs and spares, analyze data, and develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems. DHS background is required to access the aircraft maintenance and sustainment database.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to the completion of a bachelors degree in a technical field and thirteen or more years experience in engineering.
  • Must demonstrate a thorough and detailed technical understanding of engineering and field service principles, concepts, theory, regulations and practices, and strong leadership skills including organizing, planning, budgeting, scheduling and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report and present findings.

  • Develops and implements systems to effectively track repairs and spares inventories.
  • Analyzes data to monitor usage and anticipate future needs. Provides customer sales support.
  • Develops and executes innovative solutions to highly complex technical problems and issues.
  • Determines technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications.
  • Conducts briefings and provides consultation at technical meetings for internal and external representatives.
  • Establishes operating policy and procedure and interprets, executes and recommends modifications to organizational policies.
  • Directs the planning, selection, retention, and development of human resources to ensure the availability of the required staff.
  • Directs the implementation of configuration changes in the product and support field upgrades and operations.
  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees, senior management and senior outside representatives.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Must be able to successfully complete the customer required Department of Homeland Security (DHS) background investigation required to access the aircraft maintenance and sustainment data base.

  • The ability to work independently and lead in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
