Job summary

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organizing and maintaining records within Operations and EHS systems.
• Support data collection from operating sites and review information for completeness.
• Assist with recurring Operations, maintenance, contractor, EHS, environmental, and sustainability reporting activities.
• Help maintain spreadsheets, scorecards, dashboards, and Power BI reports used to monitor performance across the fleet.
• Support preventive maintenance, inspections, and fleet initiative tracking.

About This Role

Geronimo Power's Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team is seeking a Field Services Intern for Summer 2027. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting environmental, health, safety, and compliance programs across a growing fleet of utility-scale renewable energy projects. The intern will work closely with EHS and Field Operations professionals to support safety systems, environmental compliance initiatives, contractor management processes, reporting activities, and continuous improvement projects. This role offers valuable exposure to renewable energy operations, safety program administration, regulatory compliance, environmental stewardship, and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to initiatives that support safe and efficient project execution across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organizing and maintaining records within Operations and EHS systems, including inspection records, training documentation, environmental records, asset information, templates, and supporting compliance documentation.
• Support data collection from operating sites and review information for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
• Assist with recurring Operations, maintenance, contractor, EHS, environmental, and sustainability reporting activities.
• Help maintain spreadsheets, scorecards, dashboards, and Power BI reports used to monitor operational and EHS performance across the fleet.
• Support preventive maintenance, inspections, corrective actions, training requirements, and fleet initiative tracking by updating schedules, milestones, action items, and completion status.
• Assist with contractor qualification and onboarding documentation, including ISNetworld requirements and contractor compliance processes.
• Help prepare for audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance assessments by organizing records, compiling supporting evidence, and tracking follow-up items.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of procedures, workflows, job aids, training materials, and process documentation.
• Participate in team meetings, project reviews, and periodic site visits to gain exposure to field operations and EHS programs.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Asset Management, Procurement, and other teams to support company-wide operational and EHS objectives.
• Complete a defined internship project and present findings and recommendations to team members and leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Renewable Energy, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
• Interest in renewable energy, power generation, field operations, maintenance, environmental compliance, workplace safety, project coordination, or continuous improvement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate, complete, and professional records.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to handle operational, safety, environmental, and contractor information professionally and confidentially.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework or experience related to occupational health and safety, environmental compliance, renewable energy, operations, sustainability, or process improvement.
• Interest in utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage, or power generation operations.
• Experience working with data analysis, dashboards, reporting tools, or Power BI.
• Familiarity with safety management systems, environmental programs, contractor management processes, or regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Demonstrated leadership through coursework, student organizations, internships, volunteer work, or extracurricular activities.
