Job summary

Arcwood Environmental in Livonia, MI is seeking a Field Services Driver / Operator to manage on-site operations of waste transport equipment and safely move wastes to disposal facilities.

You will report to the field office, drive to customer sites, complete manifests and DOT documentation, perform daily pre-trip inspections, and maintain logs while upholding safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience driving equipment preferred.
• CDL Class B with Hazmat, air brake, and tanker endorsements required.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-site operations of equipment and transports wastes to disposal facilities safely.
• Pre-trip inspections: inspect vehicle, fuel truck, ensure equipment is in good order.
• Drives to client sites to collect waste and transport to facility for unloading.
• Completes manifests, documentation and marking/placarding for each load.
• Maintains a DOT logbook compliance.
• Operates high-velocity vacuum trucks and attachments.
• Takes on additional duties to support the team.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Field Services Driver / Operator As a Field Services Driver / Operator you are responsible for providing on-site operations of equipment and transportation of wastes to disposal facilities in a safe and conscientious manner, generating value and satisfaction to internal and external customers.

Location/Schedule:The position would report to the Field Office and then be dispatched out to projects in the region during the day. Report back to the office at the end of the day.

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
• Prepares for daily trip by inspecting vehicle and equipment, fueling truck and ensuring all equipment is in excellent operating order
• Drives to customer service sites to collect waste material and/or transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste material to facility for unloading and disposal
• Completes manifests, company documentation, and other marking and placarding documents for every load managed
• Maintains a logbook for DOT compliance
• Maintains ability to operate high-velocity vacuum trucks and all attachments
• Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Education

• High-school diploma or equivalent (required)

Experience

• 1+ years of experience driving related equipment required for role (preferred)
• Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement, air brake endorsement and tanker endorsement (required)
