Job summary

DHL Express in Ohio is seeking a motivated team member to provide customer service, sales and operational support for the Service Center. You will answer phones, greet visitors and assist with billing inquiries.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). FAA, TSA and CBP background checks for a SIDA badge may apply; this position also offers growth opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Previous experience in customer service/support or related field.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Must pass FAA, TSA, and CBP background and security checks to obtain a SIDA badge.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service, sales and operational support for the Service Center.
• Answers phone and greets visitors.
• Resolves billing problems in relation to the Service Center.
• Research shipment tracking requests and provides feedback; attempts to resolve misplaced shipments.
• Communicates with Sales/Service to resolve customer problems.
• Assists with operational procedures including sorting, loading/unloading, shipment processing and documentation, manifesting, bagging, sending shipment status information, and accepting/securing over-the-counter payments.
• Dispatches pick-up and delivery information in a timely and efficient manner; arranges daily pick-up schedules.
• May process or prepare import/export documentation and assist in the customs clearance process in some markets.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift seventy (70) lbs. occasionally
• Must be able to lift forty (40) lbs. frequently
• Must be able to walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop and crouch repeatedly
