Florida Utility Trailers, Inc. in Hialeah, FL is seeking an Outside Service Writer to join our team. The role blends field customer development, service sales, and repair coordination for fleet customers in South Florida.

You will visit customers, identify service opportunities, prepare estimates, coordinate repairs, and ensure timely communication from inspection to completion. Strong knowledge of trucks and trailers and excellent customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial truck, semi-trailer, or fleet maintenance preferred.
• Service Advisor/Writer or Outside Sales experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of semi-trailer components and repair procedures is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally in South Florida.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers to develop service business and strengthen relationships.
• Identify repair, maintenance, mobile service, and refrigeration service opportunities.
• Inspect equipment and document repair needs accurately.
• Prepare repair estimates and obtain approvals.
• Open and manage repair orders and track customer concerns.
• Coordinate with service managers, technicians, and mobile teams to schedule repairs.
• Communicate repair status and timelines to customers.
• Follow up on estimates and recommended repairs.
• Grow fleet accounts and expand service with existing customers.
