Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Field Service Technician II – P25 to install, troubleshoot, program, repair, and maintain Motorola P25 public safety radio systems and supporting RF infrastructure onsite in Greensburg, PA. You will support regional projects and on‑call operations, traveling as needed to ensure reliable communications for police, fire, EMS and other critical customers. The role emphasizes hands‑on repair, field programming, and system optimization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, programming, and maintaining two‑way radio, P25, or wireless communications systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Motorola Astro 25, MotoTRBO, Quantar, GTR8000, MCC5500/7500, UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz RF infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of P25 public safety communications, RF propagation, TCP/IP networking, radio programming, and codeplug development.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, program, and maintain P25 public safety radio systems and supporting communications infrastructure.
• Support Motorola Astro 25 platforms, MotoTRBO systems, dispatch consoles, repeaters, base stations, antennas, and RF equipment.
• Develop and modify radio programming codeplugs, including trunked radio systems and multi‑zone configurations.
• Utilize spectrum analyzers, system analyzers, watt meters, TDRs/FDRs, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment to resolve RF issues.
• Provide onsite technical support, perform system testing and maintenance, and support regional travel and on‑call operations.

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician II – P25 to support a company focused on mission‑critical public safety communications, P25 radio systems, and wireless communications infrastructure. This position is 100% onsite/local field‑based in Greensburg, PA. The Field Service Technician II – P25 will install, troubleshoot, program, repair, and maintain advanced Motorola P25 communications systems supporting public safety and critical infrastructure customers. Join a team responsible for ensuring reliable communications for police, fire, EMS, and other organizations where dependable connectivity is essential to public safety and emergency response.

• 3+ years of experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, programming, and maintaining two‑way radio, P25, or wireless communications systems
• Hands‑on experience with Motorola Astro 25, MotoTRBO, Quantar, GTR8000, MCC5500/7500, UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz, RF infrastructure, repeaters, dispatch consoles, antennas, duplexers, and multicouplers
• Strong knowledge of P25 public safety communications, RF propagation, TCP/IP networking, radio programming, codeplug development, and electronic/RF test equipment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, military communications experience, and Motorola/P25 certifications preferred
• Security clearance or TWIC eligibility preferred; valid driver\'s license required and ability to support regional travel, overnight assignments, and on‑call responsibilities

Compensation for the Field Service Technician II – P25 include:

Salary Range: $60,320 - $76,960 annually ($29.00 - $37.00/hour) depending on experience
