Job summary

Archrock is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform maintenance and repair on gas compression and related equipment at customer sites across the region.

You will work as part of a team to conduct Major Maintenance, Overhauls, MOB/DEMOB, and must submit accurate documentation while keeping safety as a priority. Extensive travel and after-hours availability are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Gas or diesel engine and compressor school/training preferred.
• Typically 3+ years’ experience with natural gas engines and compressors.

Overview:

Performs maintenance and repair activities on gas compression and/or process equipment at customer's location, as directed.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

• Maintains a safe and well-organized work environment.
• Performs Major Maintenance (MM), Overhauls and MOB/DEMOB as part of a team.
• Completes andsubmits required documentation inan accurate andtimely manner.

Non-Essential Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to:

• Perform all essential duties.
• Demonstrateproficiency in accurately and efficiently diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems on multiple compressor configurations.
• Showtrack record of performing Preventative Maintenance (PM) with no guidance and minimal COs due to poor PM work.
• Perform Major Maintenance (MM), Overhauls, and MOB / DEMOB as part of a team.
• Perform most Call Outs (CO) withoutassistance from a technical expert.
• Demonstrate customer service skills.
• Read,write and speak English (work orders, manuals, etc.)
• Follow all health,safety and environmental procedures.
• Use intermediate computer skills, including engine specific software (Cat and Waukesha), Internet Explorer and Outlook.
• Complete andsubmitcompanyrequired documentation inan accurate andtimely fashion.
• Respond toafterhoursrequest regularly on anon call basis.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of gas engines and compressors, electrical systems, panel boards, skid wiring,control systems and end-devices,etc., through Compressor 101, equivalenttraining or performance verification.
• Knowledge of somenew technologies.
• Basic knowledge of troubleshooting Telematics.
• Working knowledge of relevant HSE procedures and regulations.
• General understanding of customer’s production equipment,scrubbers,andon/off skid.
• Generalunderstanding of all processes and systemsand how a compressor works.
• Knowledge of company maintenance standards checklist and ability toaccurately and completely follow.

Minimum Education and Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license anda good driving record.
• Gas or diesel engine and compressor school / training preferred.

Minimum Experience:

• Typically at least 3 yearsofexperience with natural gas engines and compressors, and a working knowledge of production equipment.

Leadership:

• May serve as a resource to others with less experience. Often called on toassist in training or mentoring less experienced FSTs.
