Job summary

Xylem is seeking an Industrial Controls Field Service Technician to support customers across the U.S. and Canada, installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing advanced municipal water treatment systems.

This hands-on field role requires experience in industrial controls, PLCs, electrical and mechanical systems, instrumentation, pumps, or commissioning, with municipal water and wastewater experience valued.

Qualifications

  • Experience servicing electrical, mechanical, and industrial control systems in industrial, municipal, or manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, VFDs, control panels, and industrial automation.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on municipal water treatment equipment.
  • Travel to customer sites across the U.S. and Canada and work with diverse teams to achieve project outcomes.
  • Provide hands-on field service, startup and commissioning, and customer training when needed.
  • Document activities, diagnose root causes, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.
