Job summary

Ring Power Corporation in Florida is seeking an experienced technician to repair or replace defective parts on machinery and equipment. You will disassemble, clean, inspect, test, diagnose and adjust failures to keep equipment running.

You will create repair estimates, submit quotes, prepare parts requisitions and service reports, and monitor job expenses. You may temporarily assume lead duties and will use dealer computer systems to document work, maintain tools, and stay current with industry

Qualifications

  • Formal education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 7+ years in related equipment repair.
  • Must have a valid Class E Driver’s License.
  • Technical course or equivalent technician experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written material and communicate effectively.

Job description

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Job Role

Repairs or replaces defective parts on machinery/equipment. Disassembles components and properly clean parts. Inspects components to ensure maximum parts are being reused to control repair costs. Tests, diagnoses and adjusts failures of equipment.

Creates repair estimates and submits information to substantiate quotes and estimates. Prepares all parts requisitions, time cards, or service reports, as requested by the supervisor. Ensures they are legible and accurate with sufficient detail for service accounting needs.

Monitors job expenses versus repair estimates and ensures that the lead person is aware of any cost over run, prior to the job being completed. Assumes the lead person position temporarily, as necessary.

Demonstrates utilization of dealer computer systems for work orders and other documentation.

Maintains a minimum set of tools required for job performance.

Works in a neat, orderly, and safe manner while caring for and maintaining company machines/equipment.

Maintains personal company service literature, and maintains a high awareness of technical changes in the industry.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and Experience

Formal Education High School diploma or GED

Experience 7 or more years

Required / Credentials

Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

Must have completed standards outlined in the personnel achievement guideline or have been determined to meet the same qualification by the lead person based on division location.

Must posses a valid Class E Driver’s License.

Not Required but Highly Desired Criteria

A specialized technical course or equivalent years experience as a Technician preferred.

Updating of Knowledge

Job requirements occasionally change requiring re-training to stay current every 3-5 years.
