Baxter Healthcare is seeking a Field Service Technician I in California. You will prepare products for patient use, perform cleaning, disinfecting, and minor repairs, and support hospital staff and caregivers with product use.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license and a DOT physical card. You may work from a Baxter service center or customer locations, and the shift runs Tuesday to Saturday, 3:30PM to 12:00AM.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED and be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and DOT physical card are required.
• Comfort with lifting up to 65 pounds and wearing PPE as required.

Responsabilités

• Move and inspect medical products in service centers and patient homes.
• Load/unload Baxter products and operate within truck beds.
• Provide 24/7 on-call coverage including weekends and holidays as needed.

Your Role at Baxter:

The Field Service Technician I will perform functions related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer owned medical products. This is where we transform healthcare together by cleaning, disinfecting, operational function checks, and minor repairs of Baxter and non-Baxter products.

What you'll be doing

• Move and inspect medical products within Baxter service centers, healthcare facilities, and private homes. Load and unload Baxter product and maneuver the medical equipment within truck beds.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate any needed repairs. Perform routine cleaning & preventative maintenance on Baxter products.
• Provide on-call coverage, up to 24/7 basis including weekends and holidays, which may require customer account visits.
• Navigate electronic devices like smart phone, tablet, or PC to enter in or acquire information.
• Demonstrate how to use Baxter product to hospital staff, caregivers, and other participants.
• Sustain a clean and safe work environment, including 5S activities (sort, set in-order, sweep, standardize and sustain).
• Safely operate a company vehicle ranging in size from a cargo van up to a 26,000-pound truck.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 65 pounds using appropriate processes, including proper safety and ergonomic procedures.
• Must wear proper PPE including safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing. Gloves supplied include both latex and non-latex materials. Complete all required safety and compliance modules and medical testing.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $51,200 - $70,000. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
