OPAL Fuels is hiring an Operations and Maintenance Technician Floater based in Houston, TX. You will diagnose and repair industrial equipment, perform routine maintenance on CNG compressors, inspect electrical systems, and ensure safety devices are functioning properly.

This full-time role requires 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, a HS Diploma, ability to travel, lift 60 lbs, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of industrial maintenance experience, troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) for reporting purposes.
• Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
• Coursework or certification in electronic technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and instrument components using test equipment and hand tools.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNG compressor equipment and related devices.
• Inspect electrical systems for hazards and defects; report issues to supervisor.

Position Summary

We are hiring for an Operations and Maintenance Technician Floater with at least3years of experience to work in our Servicesdepartment. This position reports to a Regional Service Managerand will ideally be located in Houston, TX.

Dutiesand Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and instrument components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Routine maintenance on various operating CNG compressor equipment, including, but not limited to, pumps, valves, meters, rotating equipment, and various other equipment.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters.
• Ensures that all station equipment, including safety devices and systems are functioning properly, and reports any equipment failures to supervisor.
• Performs daily walk around inspections to identify any potential risks and ensure good housekeeping standards are always maintained.
• Ensures that all vendors accessing Station follow all Company Policies and Procedures.
• 24 Hour on-call status required.
• Service existing accounts by routinely calling on customers, receiving calls from customers, and routine site visits.
• Respond to emergency calls and preventative maintenance calls in an organized manner.
• Responsible to book all travel and track all expenses.
• Documents service actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

Qualifications and Skills

• Three to five years of industrial maintenance experience, troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment.
• HS Diploma or Equivalent.
• Coursework or certification in electronic technology preferred.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal for reporting purposes); attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift 60lbs.
• Computer skills, schematics
• Wide range construction technology knowledge and materials, preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to travel to other locations

Work Hours and Arrangements

Expected hours no less than 40 per week

The range for this role is anticipated to be $34.00 - $37.00hourly and bonus for eligible positions. Where a specific pay range is noted, it is a good faith estimate at the time of this posting.The actual salary offered will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, market / business considerations, and geographic location.
