Job summary

Hague Quality Water of Kansas City is seeking a Service Technician to support Topeka/Shawnee County area. You will service and repair residential and commercial water filtration systems, from reverse osmosis to whole-home softeners, ensuring peak performance.

You will work with our existing loyal customer base and drive a company vehicle. We offer steady work, weekly pay, company tools and diagnostic tech, and opportunities to earn WQA certifications paid for by the company.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing, HVAC, or appliance repair is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic hand tools and plumbing fittings.
• People skills with a service-first mindset.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems when a system isn't acting right.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine filter changes, system sanitization, and repairs on existing water treatment equipment.
• System Diagnostics: Troubleshoot performance issues (pressure drops, water quality changes) and provide on-site solutions.
• Customer Education: Explain technical issues to customers clearly and advise on upgrades or maintenance.
• Relationship Management: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term retention within service plans.
• Documentation: Log service calls, parts used, and water testing results using our digital reporting system.

Job Title: Service Technician living in the Topeka, KS area– Water Filtration Systems

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Service Technician to join our team. Unlike "cold" service roles, you will be working primarily with our existing loyal customer base. Your mission is to ensure their water filtration equipment—ranging from reverse osmosis systems to whole-home softeners—is running at peak performance.

Our regional headquarters is located in Olathe, KS, however, this position is for candidates ONLY living in the Shawnee County KS area.

You aren't just a technician; you are a trusted advisor helping families and businesses maintain their most vital resource: clean water.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine filter changes, system sanitization, and repairs on existing water treatment equipment.
• System Diagnostics: Troubleshoot performance issues (pressure drops, water quality changes) and provide efficient on-site solutions.
• Customer Education: Explain technical issues to customers in plain English and advise them on upgrades or preventative maintenance that fits their needs.
• Relationship Management: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction to ensure long-term retention within our service plans.
• Documentation: Accurately log service calls, parts used, and water testing results using our digital reporting system.

• The "Handyman" Factor: Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with basic hand tools and plumbing fittings is a plus.

• Clean Record: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required (you'll be driving a company vehicle).
• Problem Solver: Ability to work independently and figure out a solution when a system isn't acting right.
