Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair positive displacement blower systems at customer sites. You will also install controls and wiring for PD blowers at our facility, applying electromechanical expertise across the full equipment lifecycle.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of relevant / equivalent technical experience: millwright, maintenance, engineering, field service.
• 2+ years of electromechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and start up PD blower packages and related equipment per OEM specs and site requirements.
• Configure, program, and troubleshoot VFDs and soft starters; set parameters and interfaces.
• Diagnose and repair electrical controls including relays, contactors, motor starters, and safety circuits.
• Perform control panel wiring and field terminations; read electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Install and integrate instrumentation and calibrate as required.
• Execute mechanical service tasks: alignment, belt tensioning, bearing replacement, lubrication, torque checks.
