Liebherr-America, Inc. seeks a skilled crane technician to diagnose, repair, and overhaul mobile equipment.
You will test systems, replace worn parts, read manuals and blueprints, and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least three years in crane repair, with strong measurement and inspection skills and willingness to travel up to 90% domestically and internationally; overtime may be required.
Diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul mobile equipment such as crawler cranes, drilling rigs, etc. Repair virtually any part on cranes either on the LNC yard, in the shop or in the field. Apply electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify operational electrical machinery and electrical control equipment and circuitry. Apply mechanical theory and related knowledge to test and modify operational machinery and equipment. Operate mechanical boom and cable equipment to troubleshoot machine problems and evaluate correctness and completeness of repairs that have been done on the machine. Sets the positive example in punctuality and professional demeanor by respectful communication with all levels of staff, keeping work areas clean and orderly, and promoting safety regulations and all other company programs.
