Job Description
As a Field Service Technician within Hitachi Energy’s Service Business, you will perform hands-on service work supporting the installed base of power transformers across customer sites. This role involves field-based installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and advanced service activities, performed both independently and with direction depending on task complexity. You will work directly with customers in industrial and utility environments to restore equipment to safe, reliable operation, respond to service needs, and support lifecycle activities such as upgrades, retrofits, and end-of-life replacements. The work requires practical problem solving in the field, reading and applying technical drawings and manuals, and safely executing mechanical and electrical tasks that support the long-term performance of critical power infrastructure.
