Job summary

Strong electrical troubleshooting, safety-mindedness, and customer-first mindset are essential. The position entails startup, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of static transfer switches, power distribution gear, and remote panels, along with thorough service records and 24/7

Qualifications

• Service experience with electric power systems – Required.
• Electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills – Required.
• Ability to read diagrams and schematics – Required.
• Familiarity with programming printed circuit boards via PC based programs – Required.
• Safety awareness and electrical PPE knowledge – Required.
• Military training in electronics or electrical systems – Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup, commissioning, service, and preventive maintenance on LayerZero equipment (static transfer switches, power distribution equipment, remote power panels).
• Provide customer support on site and via email/phone.
• Maintain timely, detailed service records in LayerZero system.
• Provide emergency response for critical incidents.
• Engage in LayerZero 24/7 incident response and scheduling.

Customer Service TechnicianLayerZero Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Customer Service Technician to support our advanced power distribution equipment. This role involves both on-site and remote service, ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical troubleshooting abilities, a commitment to safety, and a customer-first mindset.

Requirements

• Perform startup, commission.ing, service, and preventive maintenance on LayerZero equipment:Static transfer switches
• Power distribution equipment
• Remote power panels
• Provide customer support while on site and via email and phone
• Maintain timely and detailed service records in the LayerZero system
• Provide emergency response for critical incidents
• Regularly scheduled time slots for LayerZero 24/7 incident response

• Service experience with electric power systems – Required.

WORK LOCATION:

Training to be conducted at LayerZero Headquarters in Aurora, Ohio. Field service work is performed at customer sites through the US and Canada. Travel is required. At times, weekends or possibly holiday work will be required.
