Job summary

NCR Voyix Field Services in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service and support electromechanical checkout systems for our large retail customers. You will perform installations, maintenance and callouts with a focus on timely, high-quality service in a defined territory.

The role offers an opportunity to work with leading retailers, with an employee-provided vehicle, paid holidays, vacation and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

• Local candidate to specific geographic area.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and driving record that satisfies NCR fleet requirements.
• PC skills and basic electronic skills.
• Some hardware and operating system familiarity.
• Prolonged travel with driving several hours per day.
• Rotating and weekend shifts.
• Flexible shift work with rotating start times and some holidays.
• Carrying and lifting tools and equipment up to 75 lbs without assistance, up to 150 lbs with assistance.
• Bending, squatting, walking and manual dexterity across varying sizes.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer installations, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively.
• Service electromechanical equipment, including self-checkout systems, within an assigned territory.
• Conduct maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance, and system overhauls.

• Carrying and lifting tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance, and up to 150 lbs. with assistance
• Bending, squatting, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, working with your hands, and repetitively grasping and manipulating objects of varying size

Preferred Qualifications (not required, but nice to have):

• Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software
• A+ Certification, CompTIA, N+ Certification
• One or more years of related experience
