Job summary

South Georgia Staffing is seeking an In-Field Service Technician to maintain and repair peanut combines and related agricultural equipment in the field during harvest season. You will work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, traveling to farm sites and performing repairs on-site.

The role requires comfort with outdoor work, mechanical troubleshooting, and ability to operate hand and power tools. Overtime and extended hours are expected during peak harvest.

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience preferred; agricultural equipment experience is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to work outdoors and around agricultural equipment.
• Dependable transportation and strong attendance.
• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours during harvest season.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on peanut combines in the field.
• Replace bearings, belts, hoses, and other mechanical components.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical systems and wiring.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Work closely with other technicians and operators to complete repairs efficiently.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
