Job summary

AGCO is hiring a Field Service Technician for AgRevolution. This role involves servicing agricultural equipment at customer sites or company shops with the right tools and test equipment. Expect travel, overtime, and potential overnights to support customers in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with a team dedicated to quality and efficiency, maintaining logs, completing reports, and ensuring accurate work orders. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs to heavy equipment or similar machinery.
• Experience using test equipment to analyze, locate and repair problems.
• Experience with computers, spreadsheets and word processing programs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and repair machinery at customer sites or at Company Shop with appropriate tools and test equipment.
• Maintain valid driver license and complete DOT logs and related paperwork.
• Write service reports at job site and track time accurately.
• Ensure accuracy of work orders and charge parts/labor correctly.
• Own and maintain sufficient hand tools for the job.
• Suggest process improvements to management and support continuous improvement.

Field Service Technician, AgRev - Lanesville

Your Impact

• Operate and perform repairs to machinery and equipment at customer’s job site or at Company Shop, using appropriate tooling and test equipment to capably complete the work in a timely and efficient manner with a high level of quality.
• Maintain a valid Driver’s License in compliance with Company and DOT regulations, maintain legally required paperwork including DOT logs, and use test equipment to analyze, evaluate and locate problems. Confer with customer and/or supervisor or make independent on job decisions when necessary.
• Write service reports at job site; keep accurate time on job and turn in cards in a timely manner.
• Ensure accuracy of work orders by charging parts and labor to proper work order segment.
• Own, update and maintain sufficient hand tools to perform the job.
• Recommend to manager ideas to improve department operating procedures or business practices and participate in and support continuous improvement of all related activities and processes.

Your Experience and Qualifications

• Experience performing troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs to agriculture, construction, off-road or heavy equipment or other similar equipment.
• Experience using test equipment and tools to analyze, evaluate, locate and repair problems.
• Experience with computers, spreadsheets, word processing programs.

Additional Information for You

• May require overtime work or overnight travel to jobsites and be available to provide service to customers on a 24 hour, seven days a week basis.
