About the Role
TSI Video is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the installation and commissioning of our Nexus Video systems across customer sites throughout the United States and Canada. This is a direct, full-time position offering hands-on work in the fields of electronics, video systems, and networked devices.
The ideal candidate will have technical proficiency in video recording equipment, electronic systems, computer networking, and software applications, along with strong interpersonal and customer service skills. This is a travel-intensive position that requires professionalism, adaptability, and problem-solving capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel regularly across the U.S. and Canada to perform on-site installation, configuration, and commissioning of Nexus Video systems.
- Perform hardware installation of vehicle-mounted systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with installed equipment using standard test tools (e.g., multimeters).
- Diagnose and repair returned (RMA) equipment.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure timely and effective project completion.
- Represent TSI Video professionally while engaging with clients and on-site personnel.
- Maintain documentation and reports related to service work and installations.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience or formal training in electrical and/or mechanical systems.
- Ability to perform hardware installations, including in-vehicle equipment.
- Proficiency using hand and power tools.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work night shifts as needed.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with wired and wireless computer networks.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and video surveillance technology.
- Knowledge of IP cameras and DVR/NVR configuration.
- Previous experience in field service, technical support, or systems integration.
