Job summary

Garton Tractor, Inc. is seeking a service technician to maintain and repair agricultural equipment and implements. You will service machines, perform tests, and work with forklifts and tractors on-site.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to safety and quality. You will need to stay current with new repair techniques and parts to ensure reliable equipment for customers.

Qualifications

Job Function & Purpose

Get it Fixed. Use mechanical expertise to maintain, repair, and overhaul agricultural equipment and implements.

Responsibility

As a service technician, you are responsible for:

• REPAIRING AND MAINTAINING MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT: Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and other mechanical agricultural equipment and implements.
• OPERATING VEHICLES, MECHANIZED DEVICES, OR EQUIPMENT: Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts and tractors.
• MAKING REPAIRS AND SOLVING PROBLEMS: Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• UPDATING AND USING RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE: Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.

Skill Sets

• Knowledge of equipment, implements, and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
