Job summary

Electria in North America is seeking 5 Field Service Technicians to energize, commission, and service PV inverters and related electrical systems remotely across the region. The role requires extensive field work, client interaction, and travel up to 50–75% with no degree required.

Salary ranges from $80,000 to $95,000 USD, and you will support warranty and start-up activities while ensuring safety and compliance on-site.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ hands-on experience commissioning/servicing power distribution, power electronics or rotating machinery.
• Experience with AC/DC systems, VFDs, PV inverters or utility-scale solar.
• Ability to work independently in the field and support teammates.
• Comfort presenting to clients and writing clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Energize and commission PV inverters and supporting electrical equipment following procedures.
• Diagnose, fix and log issues during startup or warranty service.
• Witness equipment testing at the factory to confirm specs before shipping.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve equipment issues and status.
• Run client acceptance testing and maintain as-built drawings.
• Train clients on operation and maintenance of systems, mentor field staff.
• Manage on-site schedules and safety, provide status and test reports.
• Spot opportunities on client sites and escalate to management.

Electria is a project and field services company supporting companies delivering large-scale energy, data center and high voltage projects across North America. We are searching for 5X Field Service Technicians.

About the Role

You’ll join our growing field services team, bringing solar inverters and related electrical systems online, then standing behind them through the warranty period. This is a remote role.

Salary range: $80,000 - $95,000 USD.

No Degree needed.

What You’ll Do

• Energize and commission PV inverters and supporting electrical equipment, following company procedures and checklists
• Diagnose, fix and log issues found during start up or warranty service
• Witness equipment testing at the factory to confirm it meets spec before it ships
• Work with vendors to resolve open and anticipated equipment issues
• Run client acceptance testing and keep drawings and project records up to date to as-built condition
• Train clients on operating and maintaining their systems, and coach other field staff on our methods
• Manage on-site schedules and safety compliance, and give managers and clients clear status and test reporting
• Spot new opportunities on client sites and pass them along to management

What You’ll Bring

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience commissioning and servicing power distribution, power electronics or rotating machinery
• Experience with AC/DC systems, VFDs, PV inverters or utility-scale solar
• Ability to work independently in the field and support teammates
• Comfort presenting to clients and writing clear reports
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat and cold, stand for long periods, and lift 50 lbs
• Willingness to travel 50-75%, sometimes at short notice

Must Have

• Experience with AC/DC, VFDs, PLCs, PV Inverters and Utility Solar
• 1 year experience commissioning and servicing power distribution, power electronic and rotating machine products

Nice to Have

• Technical diploma or equivalent field experience in electrical technology
• Experience with inverter manufacturer configuration and engineering software
• Track record of coordinating the work of others to hit project goals
