Job summary

dormakaba is seeking a Field Service Technician based in Tampa, FL to install and service doors, equipment, and control devices. This role involves performing corrective and preventive maintenance on automatic doors and related equipment.

Applicants should have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift 50 pounds; AAADM certification is preferred, with 1+ years of door installation/maintenance experience. This is a full-time on-site position with benefits.

• Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds, stand, crawl, and perform overhead work.
• AAADM certification is preferred but not required.

• Maintain accurate project and/or service data through diligent and timely documentation.
• Primarily work on installations of automatic sliding doors.

Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking a Field Service Technician based in Tampa, FL. The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation and service of various doors, equipment, and control devices. This position may also service or perform preventative maintenance on automatic doors and related equipment.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $32/hr. - $42/hr. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

What you will do

• Perform corrective service and preventative maintenance on a range of automated access doors and equipment in a professional and customer-oriented manner


• Communicate with sales and service management about customer needs and sales opportunities


• Maintain accurate project and/or service data through diligent and timely use of all documentation and technical data


• Primarily will be working on installations of automatic sliding doors

What we require

• Physical requirements, including the ability to lift at least 50 pounds, stand, stoop, crawl, twist, bend, push, pull, climb, and work overhead
