Job summary

ASCO Equipment in Sherman, TX is seeking a Heavy Equipment Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of machinery, delivering top-tier service on-site.

You'll work across departments with a customer-first mindset, handle diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems, and contribute to timely, safe repairs. 2–3 years of heavy equipment repair experience (or technical certification/associate’s degree) and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of heavy equipment repair experience (or technical certification/associate's degree).
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and work within time constraints.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must be able to obtain forklift license.
• Your own tool set for heavy equipment repair.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to handle loads up to 55 lbs and maneuver around/crawl under equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical systems—in the shop or the field.
• Perform planned maintenance and keep equipment running smoothly.
• Work closely with the Service Manager and other departments to meet customer needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, whether in the shop or on the road.
• Use computers and communication tools to document repairs and stay in sync with the team.

About The Role

As a Service Technician, youll play a vital role in keeping our customers' heavy equipment running at peak performance. In this hands-on position, youll diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of machinery, delivering top-tier service with expertise, efficiency, and a customer-first mindset. Collaboration is key—youll work across departments to ensure every customer needs are met with speed and professionalism.
