Overview

We are seeking dynamic and adaptable Field Service Technicians to join our team in Penns Grove, NJ. Precision Scale & Balance Field Service Technicians (FST) are at the frontline of delivering our signature Precision Quality Service to our diverse customer base. An FST is an expert in the installation, calibration, service, and repair of weighing equipment.

About The Role

As an FST, you are responsible for executing all aspects of field service. The essential duties and responsibilities of a Field Service Technician are:

  • Inspect, calibrate, repair, and/or install weighing equipment to the standards set by OEMs and/or Precision Scale and Balance, and in accordance with industry regulations and standards
  • Complete equipment repairs in our on-site shop as needed
  • Accurately complete all written documentation relating to individual service calls in a timely manner, including service documents, test reports, expense reports, driving logs, and/or any other required written documentation
  • Comply with all company policies, customer regulations and policies, and OSHA regulations
  • Maintain company equipment, tools, and inventory in good working order and condition
  • Attend weekly safety training and any other training required on an as needed basis
  • Occasional weekend/after hours work may be required on an as needed basis
  • All employees must follow our Code of Conduct
About You (Job Requirements)
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in maintenance operations or a military background is strongly preferred
  • Valid driver's license in good standing is required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong electronics and mechanical skills
  • Ability to use all types of hand tools and digital test equipment
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team, in variable working environments
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull 75+ pounds on a regular basis
  • Working knowledge of calibration softwares; experience with ProCal a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and organized
Compensation

Hourly salary will range from $20 - $30 p/h based on experience and type of driver's license.
