Job Summary
The Field Service Technician I is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the sales locations, providing service and customer support during field visits or dispatches, and managing all on‑site installation, repair, maintenance and testing tasks.
Essential Job Functions
- Performs field service repairs to customers well‑site production equipment using technical manuals, prints and specifications.
- Directs, coordinates, and performs the job activities consistently with the company’s goals and objectives while adhering to all customer field location policies and safety requirements.
- Troubleshoots production process operations and recommends actions for problem solving.
- Provides job completion field service report details to the customer and Kimray.
- Prepares, completes, and presents well‑site Job Safety Analysis before commencing work.
- Ensures correct inventory is maintained on the service vehicle to facilitate field service repairs.
- Provides basic leadership while teaching, coaching and mentoring team members.
- Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures; reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health, Safety and Environmental team member.
- Participates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must pass DOT physical.
- 3‑5 years of Oil & Gas industry experience required.
- Working knowledge of oil and gas production equipment practices.
- Ability to apply Kimray/Non‑Kimray products to applications.
- Ability to operate field service equipment, including proper use of tools.
- Ability to use Kimray sizing programs and interpret results.
- Must have analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
- Able to communicate clearly with field‑level operators/engineers.
- Able to prioritize activities.
- Ability to operate a computer.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean MVR.
- Must pass background check and drug screen.

Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Shop/Field environments – PPE required in specific areas.
- Ability to function and adapt to a variety of weather conditions.

- Repetitive use of hands.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 75 lbs.
Travel
Yes – Extended periods of time.
