Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2–5 years of technical work experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and mobile devices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform start-up, commissioning, preventative maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of submersible wastewater pumps and control panels at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot electrical control panels and interpret schematics/wiring diagrams.
  • Conduct start-ups and train customers on equipment; perform preventative maintenance and emergency callouts.
  • Operate service truck with crane and out-riggers; use various hand and power tools.
  • Maintain accurate records in the work order system and ensure a safe, organized work environment.

At Xylem, you will have the opportunity to solve water by participating in our paid Volunteer Program, Xylem Watermark!**THE ROLE**: The Field Service Technician Level 2 will be responsible for start-up and commissioning of projects, preventative maintenance, and basic submersible wastewater pump (Flygt) and control panel troubleshooting at customer sites. Product specific training will be provided. May also include exposure to hazardous material and loud noises. The physical demands may include but not limited to, standing and lifting to 50 lbs.
