Job summary

Baseline Employerco Llc seeks a Field Service Technician to oversee and maintain power generation equipment on rent for customers within a designated region.

You will maximize equipment run time by performing preventative and basic repairs, coordinating with customers, and ensuring safety compliance across sites. This role requires on-site work and frequent travel to well sites.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Able to pass a background and drug screen.
• Experience with electrical/generator troubleshooting.
• Own hand tools required; company provides specialty tools.
• Willing to work nights and weekends.
• Background or trade school experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on natural gas generators at customer sites.
• Oil changes, filter changes, valve adjustments, battery checks, radiator washing.
• Troubleshoot generator control panels and 480V output.
• Mobilize/demobilize generators and perform startup functions.
• Respond to 24/7 callouts and coordinate with customers.
• Maintain safety and inventory of parts.

Do you plan out your work and think through important details before you start your work?The Field Service Technician position exists to oversee and maintain power generation equipment on rent with customers in a designated region. This person will be responsible for maximizing equipment run time by performing maintenance as needed and ensuring that all equipment is always in proper working condition.ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance on industrial natural gas generators on customer locations. Basic maintenance items include:Monthly oil change, spark plug change, oil and air filtersOverhead valve adjustmentsChecking batteriesWashing of radiatorsLoad bank testingBasic repair and maintenance of the following engine and electrical system components:Natural Gas Engine fuel systemsCooling systemsAir injection systems (turbos, manifolds, etc.)Generator control panel troubleshootingGenerator ends: diagnose 480V electrical output, check diodes, replace/tune automatic voltage regulatorsMaintain fit-for-duty status for each shiftRegularly drive a company vehicle to visit customer sitesMaintain a Safety-first culture that always ensures the protection and safety of Baseline employees and customers. This can include but is not limited to: attending customer safety meetings, auditing Field Service safety practices, frequently verifying that all work meets Baseline and customer standards, etc.Conduct work in accordance with company, customer, and industry safety standards to maintain an accident-free workplaceMobilization and demobilization of generators to and from well sites and be present to perform all startup functions: Tying in electrical cabling, fuel lines, and synchronizing if requiredRespond to call outs/alarms on a 24/7 basis while working or on call.
