JOB DESCRIPTION:

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN REP Corporation.

REP was founded in 1907 by Robert Esnault Pelterie and has been making Rubber Injection molding machines since 1948. We are leaders in rubber injection technology and machinery manufacturing. REP operates globally, and Rep Corporation located in KODAK Tennessee, is the sales and service center for the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Currently, REP Corporation is interviewing candidates throughout the country for an addition to our team to aid with the installation and service of high-pressure injection machinery. We are looking for a Field Service TECHNICIAN (FST) for operation primarily in the United States of America and mostly in the mid-west portion of the country. The ideal candidate would be located in the Fort Wayne Indiana area. The candidate will either work from his/her home or, if logistically viable, from the main office in the greater Knoxville area. The successful applicant will provide a high level of technical support to external customers while working under minimal supervision. The focus will be to provide on-site installation, validation, and commissioning of new injection machinery as well as diagnosing and repairing existing machines in the field. The position will also require the ability to train users of the REP platform, as well as the ability to provide support from a remote location. The position will also include duties related to service coordination, customer support, and cross-functional team member support.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide on-site installation, validation, and commissioning of REP machinery.
2. Perform hands-on on-site troubleshooting, service, and repairs.
3. Provide high-level technical support to external customers at their location.
4. Provide informal on-site training to the customers.
5. Interface with cross-functional work teams such as Parts Department and customer service staff, management, and sales.
6. Create and maintain service records in the company database.
7. Timely and professionally handle field service calls and issues arising from the field service visits, as assigned by the Service Manager.
8. Timely complete and submit all required paperwork.
9. Communicate with the customer to ensure satisfaction and implement any necessary corrective actions.
10. Misc. other duties commensurate with the capabilities of a Field Service Technician.

Minimum requirements:

1. Technical Degree in electrical/mechanical engineering preferred but not required. Extensive experience on the REP platform is a plus.
2. PLC and automation experience, working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
3. Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and Windows-based applications.
4. Working knowledge and ability to test and troubleshoot electrical analog and digital circuits.
5. Travel: Approximately 65 to 90%, primarily within your geographic area of the United States of America, with some potential international travel available.
