Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC in Deer Park, TX, is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and repair high-speed centrifugal compressors and turbo expanders across North America. This travel-intensive, on-site role supports customer sites and requires frequent travel to customer locations.

You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, provide technical training, and ensure safety and quality standards while delivering reliable service and supporting parts inventory.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Field Service Technician who is enthusiastic about maintaining and repairing high-speed centrifugal compressors and turbo expanders. This is a travel-intensive role that supports customer sites throughout North America. The position requires frequent travel and extended time working on-site at customer locations to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities.

As part of the Field Service team, you will report to the Field Service Manager and work with the Aftermarket team including technical support. This is a full-time position working on-site at our customer sites.

As a Field Service Technician, your responsibilties will include:

• Performing maintenance and repairs on centrifugal compressors and turbo expanders.
• Conducting emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Performing in-house mechanical repairs and upgrades when not assigned to fieldwork.
• Upgrading equipment to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues in the field.
• Providing technical support and training to customers.

To succeed, you will need

• You have at least 5 years of experience in maintaining and repairing rotating equipment.
• Expertise with high-speed centrifugal compressors and turbo expanders.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as a team to service the designated territory.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time within the North America region.

• Competitive Pay: Base salary ranges from $25.00 to $40.00 an hour, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will be entitled to up to $10,000 in an annual bonus.

Job location

You will be part of our customer center in Deer Park. You will join a dynamic field service team, working remotely and spending a significant amount of time traveling to visit customers within your designated area, United States (US). #LI-Remote
