Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are required.
  • 1+ years’ experience in an electrical capacity is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong problem-solving.
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols and safety mindset.
  • On-call rotation with other technicians, 24/7.
  • Travel up to 30–40% overnight.
  • Experience with POS systems such as Verifone/NCR is a plus.
  • Experience with alarms is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Good driving record required.
  • Ability to travel and possess travel documents (REAL ID, Passport).
  • Proficient with computers and smartphones.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots, inspects, and repairs electro-mechanical devices including POS, alarms, and security equipment.
  • Performs EV charger testing tasks like torque, thermal imaging, insulation testing, and generates performance reports.
  • Identifies system performance issues and fixes faults.
  • Completes service requests and maintenance in a timely, professional manner.
  • Reviews work orders, manuals, and drawings to correctly service equipment.
  • Uses various testing devices and hand/power tools relevant to the job.
  • May be reassigned geographically to support new installations or upgrades.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The position is responsible for servicing and installing various electronic equipment to include security point of sale, as well as EV charging stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoots, inspects, replaces/repairs a wide variety of electro-mechanical devices such as cash registers, coin changers, security equipment, alarms, and point of sale equipment.
  • Manage various EV charger testing requirements such as torque, thermal imagery, insulation (megger) and performance reports.
  • Locate system performance issues and fix ground faults.
  • Complete service requests and maintenance repair items in a timely manner and ensures all requests are handled in a professional manner.
  • Correctly review work orders, manuals, and drawings to properly perform maintenance and service of equipment.
  • Utilize various testing devices, multiple hand and power tools related to the job.
  • May be temporarily assigned to other geographical area to provide support with new installations and upgrades.
  • Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
  • One+ years' experience working in an electrical capacity is preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently and be a strong problem-solver.

  • 24/7 on-call rotation with other techs in your area.
  • Must be able to travel up to 30-40% overnight.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands include moderate with some strenuous physical exertion including the ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist. Must be able to climb a ladder and lift/carry up to 70 lbs. Work will be performed both outdoors and indoors.
