Job summary

AMAROK, a leading perimeter security solutions provider, invites you to join our expanding Field Operations team as a Field Service Technician. You will deliver preventive maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades at customer sites while adhering to safety and SOPs.

This role requires Monday-Friday overnight travel within a 150-250 mile radius. Compensation ranges from $65,000 to $85,000 plus overtime; hourly range $27.00-$31.00 based on experience and location.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' hands-on experience troubleshooting and installing systems; access control or fire alarms a plus.
• OSHA certification or familiarity with OSHA compliance preferred.
• Must be able to travel Mon-Fri weekly; valid driver's license; lift heavy objects and climb ladders to 30 ft; operate power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades at customer sites.
• Assist Install Department with site planning, inspections, and system commissioning after construction is completed.
• Organize and prioritize daily service calls and route, ensuring timely completion of maintenance and repair work.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers through service, training, and support.
• Provide assistance to other Field Service Technicians; foster teamwork and knowledge sharing.
• Drive safely while following all local, state, and federal traffic laws to reach service locations.
• Monitor daily inventory levels, complete service reports, and submit documentation within deadlines.
• Track and submit expense reports in accordance with company policies.

Now is the perfect time to grow your career by joining our expanding Field Operations team! As a Field Service Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering top-tier service to our customers by providing expert preventive maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades. This position requires Monday-Friday overnight travel within a designated service radius of approximately 150-250 miles, ensuring the security and functionality of our systems nationwide.

$65,000 - $85,000 (inclusive of base pay and average overtime). Hourly compensation range is $27.00 - $31.00 per hour determined by experience, skill set, travel requirements, and geographical location.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades at customer sites, following established standard operating procedures to ensure optimal system performance.
• Assist the AMAROK Install Department with site planning, jurisdictional compliance, inspections, and system commissioning after construction is completed.
• Organize and prioritize daily service calls and route, ensuring timely and high-quality completion of maintenance and repair work.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers by delivering outstanding service, training, and support.
• Provide assistance to other Field Service Technicians as needed, fostering a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing.
• Drive safely while following all local, state, and federal traffic laws to reach service locations efficiently.
• Monitor daily inventory levels, accurately complete service reports, and submit documentation within required deadlines.
• Track and submit expense reports in compliance with company policies.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be available to travel Monday-Friday weekly
• Valid Driver's License
• At least 2+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and installing systems (experience with access control systems and/or fire alarms is a plus)
• OSHA certification and/or familiarity with OSHA compliance is strongly preferred
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects as needed & safely climb a ladder up to 30 ft.
• Ability to operate various forms of power equipment such as: aerial lifts, concrete saws, jack hammers, augers, mixers, etc.
• Strong ability to analyze and troubleshoot system issues effectively
• Basic Math Skills - Necessary for measuring, calculating, and troubleshooting system configurations
