Job summary

One X is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain and repair equipment at frac locations and assist with shop operations at the new facility. You will troubleshoot complex systems, perform routine inspections, and ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently across multiple sites.

The job requires a strong mechanical background, the ability to work independently or with a team, a clean driving record, and willingness to travel 100% with extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Oil & gas: 1 year (Preferred)
• Experience on frac sites is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team.

General Scope:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. This role involves working at various field locations to ensure the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, while also assisting with shop operations at our new facility as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, the ability to troubleshoot complex systems, and a willingness to support both field and shop activities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment on frac locations.
• Operate forklifts and telehandlers safely while adhering to OSHA regulations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance.

• Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service.

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in oil gas or construction environments.
• Familiarity with operating heavy machinery such as forklifts and telehandlers is preferred.
• Experience working on frac sites is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand continuously.
• Ability to kneel, squat, push/pull, reach (including overhead), grasp/squeeze and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to climb stairs/ladders and walk occasionally.
• Ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.
