Power Motive Corporation is seeking an Experienced Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction and mining equipment on customer sites. You will operate from a service truck, delivering critical repair support to ensure maximum uptime while upholding safety standards and customer relations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing problems, performing repairs, and documenting work. Travel up to 50% is required; CDL-B and a medical card are preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of minimum heavy equipment mechanical experience.
• Must hold Medical Card or ability to get one on hire date.
• Heavy Equipment Dealer certifications preferred.
• Minimum CDL B preferred.
• Willingness to travel 50–100%.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and determine repairs for heavy equipment.
• Perform on-site diagnosis, repair and maintenance from a service truck.
• Prepare legible, accurate reports and records of work performed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area and tool inventory.
• Report additional work and coordinate with the Service Manager.
• Promote a professional image of the dealership to customers.
• Ensure maximum machine uptime by resolving mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Collaborate with other teams to provide a positive customer experience.

As a Field Service Technician for Power Motive Corporation, you will have a critical role in our Service Department's overall success. The Field Service Technician is responsible for the on-site diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of our heavy construction and mining equipment. Operating from a service truck, this role delivers critical technical repair support to our team and customers directly on the job sites and mining locations. As a Field Service Technician, you are to ensure maximum machine uptime by resolving complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues all while maintaining the highest level of safety standards and strong customer relationships in the field.

Essential Duties of a heavy equipment Field Service Technician:

• Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Diagnose problems and determine what repairs are needed.
• Continuously develop skills in disassembly, assembly and repair of components and machines.
• Perform all service tasks as assigned by the Service Manager or Service Writer/Shop Foreman.
• Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.
• Prepare legible, accurate and detailed records of work as it is performed.
• Document unusual or excessive time requirements for unforeseen problems.
• Report any additional work recommended and/or required on equipment to the Service Manager for notification to customer or sales department.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines and equipment, company assigned vehicle and report any additional special tools needed to Service Manager.
• Accountable for completing/performing all work as stated.
• Always conduct self to present a professional image of the dealership.
• Promote dealership growth thru suggestive selling of parts and service.
• Accountability of all time and materials used in job assigned.
• Proactively works with other employees and departments to give the customer a positive experience in ways that promote respect and teamwork.

Job Qualifications::

Work Environment

Monday–Friday, 7:00AM- 4:00 PM(shift is as needed, with overtime, possible weekends as needed)

Physical Requirements:

• Bending, reaching, twisting, pulling, kneeling and lifting are continuous essential functions of the job
• Will lift from 1-75 pounds from floor to five feet level and team lift heavier items
• Normal physical agility is a must
