Job description

About The Role

The Field Service Specialist will be responsible for meeting the daily service maintenance and repair needs of the customer’s equipment, establishing and maintaining proper business relationships with customers and peers, performing necessary administrative duties, and other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do
  • Onsite and remote training, installation, maintenance, and qualification of Advanced Instruments equipment.
  • Complete and manage Pharmaceutical IQOQ/yearly OQ and Clinical Validations.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and field modifications within specified time frames.
  • Order and manage car stock inventory; conduct annual inventory counts.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues and provide basic application support.
  • Schedule installations, preventive maintenances, repairs, and other field events.
  • Provide phone support and triage technical issues occasionally (about once every two months).
  • Maintain service records and provide timely service reports.
  • Ensure high‑quality, timely internal and customer communications and follow‑up.
  • Use the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues.
  • Maintain tools and test equipment and ensure proper calibration.
  • Identify and collaborate with Sales on new service contracts, renewals, and system sales opportunities.
  • Manage territory independently while working as part of a larger team to serve all accounts efficiently.
  • Lift and carry a toolbox weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Adhere to current regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, OSHA, and FDA.
What We Are Looking For In You
  • Experience in the medical device industry preferred; 1–3 years of diagnostics industry experience.
  • Experience interfacing with internal team members and external customers in a solution‑based service role.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
  • Proven reliability and accountability in all aspects of work.
  • Proficient computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce, Teams.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, self‑directed, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Resourceful, independent, and quick to learn.

Salary Range
