Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Field Service Representative to provide operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems across diverse industries. The role covers technologies including media filtration, RO, IX, de-oxygenation, EI, and UF, with 4 on/4 off shifts and day/night rotation.

You will troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/controls, prepare technical reports, manage parts and chemicals, and perform site testing. Travel up to 5% and a focus on safety and compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of service/maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
• High School Diploma / GED or international equivalent.
• Current TWIC Card and valid Driver’s License.
• Forklift experience/training (preferred).
• Bachelor/Associate STEM degree or technical certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and controls on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation.
• Create and maintain site paperwork with detailed technical summaries of work performed.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts.
• Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems.
• Perform analytical testing (turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO₂, O₂, SDI, TOC) and other site-specific tests.
• Enter and complete work orders in MaintainX.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

As a Field Service Representative, you’ll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for one of our customers from one of a variety of industries. This mission critical role involves working on a variety of technologies including media filtration, wastewater, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de‑oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF).

Key Characteristics

• Conduct maintenance and calibration activities
• Consult with customer management and operation teams
• Excellent mechanical know‑how and problem‑solving skills
• Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications
• Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
• Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• 2 years of experience in industrial, oil field, refinery or chemical plant environments
• Electrical, chemical, and/or mechanical experience
• Basic computer skills (email, data entry, online training, EHS reporting)
• Able to lift 50 lbs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification or international equivalent
• 2+ years of service/maintenance experience in an industrial environment
• Current TWIC Card required
• Current Driver’s License

• Bachelor or Associate’s Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in instrumentation, electrical, or mechanical (preferred)

Additional Information

• 5% travel for training and other site visits
• Working in hot, dirty, loud environment with moving equipment
• Working with chemicals for water treatment

Working Hours

• 4 on / 4 off with a monthly rotation of day/night shift

Day shift: 6 am to 6 pm

Night shift: 6 pm to 6 am
