Job summary

Veolia Water Tech is seeking a Field Service Representative to provide operations and maintenance on water treatment systems across industries. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and run analytical tests to meet contract specifications on equipment including filtration and RO systems.

The role requires hands-on electrical, mechanical, and controls experience, a HS diploma, a valid license, and the ability to work at customer sites with safety as a priority.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical, electrical, and controls preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, pumps, instrumentation.
• Consult with customer management and operation teams.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and chemicals; ensure supply availability.
• Create and maintain site paperwork; provide detailed technical summaries of work performed.
• Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications.
• Perform analytical testing (turbidity, hardness, pH, etc.) as required at site.
• Assist in service activities including refurbishment, calibration, inspection, and repair.
• Work schedules may fluctuate based on customer and business needs.

Job Description

The Field Service Representative role at Veolia Water Tech involves providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems across various industries. This position is critical for ensuring the optimal performance of technologies such as media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis, and more. The representative will be responsible for troubleshooting, conducting maintenance, and performing analytical testing to meet customer needs and contract specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical, electrical, and controls preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation.
• Consult with customer management and operation teams.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts.
• Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed.
• Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications
• Perform analytical testing such as turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, and other site-specific testing requirements.
• Assist in providing service activities including parts refurbishment, maintenance, calibration of equipment, inspection, repair, performance testing, customer communications, project assessment and execution, and telephone customer support
• Have the ability to work schedules that will fluctuate based on customer and business needs / demands
• Perform diagnostics testing, repairs, test and calibration routines on the instruments, and complete all required paperwork
• Collect payment information and generate shipping and billing paperwork
• Provide extensive equipment support and general hardware and software support
• Ensure compliance with all aspects of safety on the job, including the operation and maintenance of an assigned company vehicle (if applicable) and comply with all Veolia Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies
• Other duties as assigned

• Self-motivated, with the ability to drive projects to completion with minimal oversight, while demonstrating significant problem solving ability with an unfailing dedication to deadlines and commitments.

Education & Experience

Required:

• High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment.
• Valid Driver’s License

Preferred:

• Bachelor or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation

Working Conditions

• Regular requirement to reach with hands and arms, below and above shoulder height
• Regular requirement to stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Regularly work around machines, electrical, chemicals, unprotected heights
• Work at customer sites where instruments may be in difficult to reach spaces requiring using a ladder to reach, working in close/cramped/small spaces
