Job summary

Hankook Tire America Corp. in Grand Prairie, TX invites a Field Technical Service Specialist – South to join our Technical Services team. You will regularly interact with distributors, dealers, and end-users to address warranty and quality issues, inspect returned tires, and communicate findings with internal staff and customers.

Travel to Hankook dealers and facilities nationwide is expected. You should have 4+ years in tire or automotive sectors, strong communication skills, and a valid

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Bachelor degree preferred, ideally in engineering or science.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in Tire and/or Automotive industries.
• Strong oral and written communication ability.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to work in a result-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of team.
• Must have a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation (personal vehicle for travel).
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office capabilities.
• Located in the South within commuting distance to Grand Prairie, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for inspections and communications about Warranty and Quality items to internal staff and external customers in South area.
• Receive and answer simple to complex customer inquiries for all Hankook products through specialized technical knowledge of products and usage.
• Inspect return tires by physically visiting warehouses, dealers, and fleets, or by doing photo inspection.
• Regular travel for company and/or dealer meetings, market surveys, and for field related issues
• Researches and obtains resolution of a variety of customer complaints and issues.
• Keep up with the competitors' products information and tire industry regulations.
• Any other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Management

Position Identification

• Report to – Field Service Unit Manager
• Location - Grand Prairie, Texas

Job Purpose

Hankook's Technical Services Department works in after-sales service, warranty, and quality related roles. This position will be responsible to regularly interact with Hankook's customers (distributors, dealers, and end-users) and internal staff regarding company products and warranties. Regularly travels to Hankook dealers, distributors, and Hankook's own facilities to inspect tires returned for warranty and/or quality issues and communicates with all necessary parties about findings. The position receives and answers simple to complex inquiries and complaints for all Hankook products through specialized technical knowledge of products and usage. This position will work at Hankook's TX Regional Distribution Center, located in Grand Prairie, TX (75050), and regularly travel.
