• Knowledge of EPA and State regulations, plant operations, and lab testing.
• Strong troubleshooting skills—mechanical, electrical, and controls.
• A knack for teamwork, communication, and organization.
• A degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate required.
• Licensed Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator or working toward this in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Operate and optimize the wastewater treatment facility.
• Work closely with engineers, vendors, and clients.
• Troubleshoot and maintain high-tech systems.
• Lead facility tours on sustainable water solutions.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in water or wastewater operations (industrial or municipal)
• Knowledge of EPA and State regulations, plant operations, and lab testing
• Strong troubleshooting skills—mechanical, electrical, and controls
• A knack for teamwork, communication, and organization
• A passion for environmental protection and a drive to make things better every day
• Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate
• Licensed Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator in the state of Wisconsin or working toward one
• Experience with advanced treatment technologies such as MBR, biomass management, membrane processes, SCADA systems, and related safety practices
• Hands‑on experience with mechanical and electrical basics, pumps, valves, piping, dewatering and solids handling equipment, hydraulics, neutralization and pH control, and biogas reactor operations
• Familiarity with microbiology, lab tests, and terminology like TSS, MLSS, and conductivity
• Experience with PLC and SCADA operation and programming
• Live within 30 minutes of Almena, WI
