Purpose Of Position

The purpose of the Field Service Project Manager is to support the planning, coordination, execution, and tracking of Field Services projects to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality and customer expectations.

This role works closely with Project Controls leadership, Field Services leadership, internal departments, customers, vendors, and field teams to coordinate resources, monitor project progress, support project documentation, communicate project status, and assist with resolving project‑related risks or issues.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Functions
  • Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, timelines, budgets, and related project documentation.
  • Coordinate resources, equipment, project information, and internal support needed to execute Field Services projects.
  • Monitor project progress, milestones, deliverables, and overall project performance.
  • Prepare project reports and proactively communicate project updates, risks, delays, and status information to stakeholders.
  • Identify, escalate, and assist in resolving issues or risks that may impact project delivery, schedule, budget, quality, or customer expectations.
  • Support adherence to project scope, objectives, customer requirements, and internal processes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, field teams, customers, and vendors to support successful project execution.
  • Support Senior Project Managers, Project Controls Managers, and Field Services leadership with day‑to‑day project management tasks.
  • Assist with project documentation, including tracking, reporting, customer‑facing updates, and internal project records.
  • Support customer relationship management by maintaining professional communication and assisting with issue resolution as needed.
  • Assist with budget tracking, change order support, project profitability tracking, and financial reporting as assigned.
  • Maintain awareness of project timelines, deliverables, open action items, and required follow‑up.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  • Communication: Communicates project status, risks, action items, timelines, and updates clearly and professionally to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Works effectively with Project Controls, Field Services leadership, Senior Project Managers, field technicians, customers, vendors, and other internal support departments.
  • Quality Assurance and Control: Supports adherence to project scope, documentation requirements, internal processes, customer requirements, and quality standards.
  • Organization and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities, track open action items, follow up timely, and maintain accurate project records in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy, consistency, and completeness in project documentation, reporting, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder communication.
  • Technical Aptitude: Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and use project management systems such as Procore, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Salesforce, or similar tools.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifies opportunities to improve project tracking, communication, documentation, workflow consistency, and overall project execution.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination, project controls, project management, construction, field service, or a related operational role required.
  • Experience supporting field service, construction, commissioning, electrical, manufacturing, industrial, or technical service projects preferred.
  • Experience coordinating project schedules, budgets, resources, documentation, deliverables, and customer communication preferred.
  • Experience with project management software tools such as Procore, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Salesforce, or similar systems preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, and follow‑up skills required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment required.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands
Physical Demands
  • Activities: Sitting – 90%, Walking/Standing – 10%
  • Lifting: Must be able to bend, lift, and carry equipment and materials up to 10 lbs.
  • Vision: Long periods of close work on a computer screen, including reviewing data, dashboards, reports, spreadsheets, and system outputs.
  • Travel: Occasional travel (up to 20%) may be required to IEM regional field offices.
Mental Demands

Interpret, analyze, research, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to evaluate complex data, resolve problems, meet deadlines, communicate findings, and support decision‑making in a fast‑paced business environment.

Environment

Climate‑controlled office space. May occasionally visit non‑climate‑controlled production, warehouse, or field service environments as business needs require.

Compensation

Compensation will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. Compensation range: $90,000 – $140,000.
