Job summary

Nucor Corporation in Dayton, TX is seeking a project coordinator to support NRF Southcentral. This role travels up to 75% to job sites across OK, AR, TX, MS, LA, and Memphis, representing the company with customers and general contractors.

You will lead safety compliance, coordinate solutions with project teams, and monitor installation progress while maintaining professional relationships; a technical or business degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field, OR three (3) years of experience as a rebar detailer OR demonstrated construction project management experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.
• Strong product knowledge and understanding of commercial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, rebar placing drawings, specifications, and other construction documents.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to professionally handle difficult or high-pressure situations.
• Ability to travel extensively to jobsites: must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to safely access and navigate active construction jobsites, including walking on uneven terrain, climbing ladders and stairs, and riding lifts when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary company representative at assigned jobsites and maintain a professional, customer-focused relationship with customers, general contractors, superintendents, project managers, foremen, rod busters, and other jobsite personnel.
• Investigate, initiate, and coordinate solutions to problems or issues identified at the jobsite, engaging cross‑department teams as needed.
• Proactively identify potential problems and trends that could impact rebar installation, schedule, materials, costs, or customer relationships, with written reports after visits.
