Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Road Mechanic/Service Technician for an equipment service opportunity based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role performs preventive maintenance, diagnostics and advanced repairs on equipment at customer locations.

This field-service role suits a mechanically skilled technician who works on a variety of makes and models at customer and remote locations, with equipment ranging from aerial work platforms to large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems and

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or similar equipment
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment at customer locations
• Diagnose equipment problems and perform advanced repairs
• Apply knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Work on a variety of makes, models and equipment
• Perform service work at customer and remote locations
• Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment
