Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Manager, Field Service Engineering in Mankato, MN. You will lead the field service engineering group, ensuring safety, customer satisfaction, and profitability while guiding technicians and resolving complex issues.

Responsibilities include directing staff, overseeing commissioning and service programs, and ensuring systems meet RRSA specifications. Travel domestically and internationally (<10%). A Bachelor's in engineering and 5–9 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or engineering technology with 5 years of project and personnel management, failure analysis, service engineering or technical service support experience with diesel systems; or 9 years of related experience

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct, and evaluate staff work to develop competence
• Direct and monitor diesel/gas system commissioning and service projects
• Oversee maintenance and repair of systems per RRSA specifications
• Coordinate field inspections of failed parts to identify root causes
• Provide technical guidance to RRSA technicians and customers
• Verify results and enforce policies, standards, procedures
• Draft and update service manuals and procedures based on field data
• Manage reports, warranties, budgets, and expenses on a project basis
• Assist in resource planning and budgeting for projects
• Negotiate supplier contracts with Sr. Management, Finance, and Purchasing
