CTR Group in Newport News, VA, seeks a Field Service Engineer - Production Assistance to maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on our equipment. You will interpret blueprints and work directly with customers to ensure reliable operation and uptime.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities/machine maintenance experience.
• Associate degree or similar level of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Understanding of electrical systems including 480 volt and below.
• Knowledge of hydraulic system diagnostics and high-pressure components (>5000 PSI).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean criminal record.

CTR Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer - Production Assistance for a company in Newport News, VA that specializes in designing and manufacturing high quality, heavy mechanical and electromechanical equipment for space, energy and industry applications.

A Day Shift Position. SALARY RANGE: $80K - $90K with Excellent Benefits: 401(k) pension plan, health, dental, vision and life insurance.

Activity: Industry, heavy machinery, automation. Technical assistance, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

What you develop

Support client with the maintenance of Company-designed and manufactured machines including troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of specialized mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems/components.

What you bring

• 5+ years of facilities/machine maintenance experience.
• Associate degree or similar level of experience.
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• A good understanding of electrical systems to include 480 volt and below including various control voltage.
• Knowledge of hydraulic system component diagnostics, repair and failure analysis of valves, stacks, pistons, and rams in excess of 5000 PSI operating pressure.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fast-thinking, pro-active and self-sufficient.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record.
