An international industrial machinery manufacturer in the Lexington, KY area is seeking a Field Service Engineer who is responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of machinery at customer sites.

Responsibilities Include:

• Travel to customer sites to repair machinery or supervise the repair through subcontractors and/or customers’ maintenance personnel.
• Oversee project management and perform machinery inspections.
• Prepare quotations for services to customers.
• Prepare and present final reports to customers.
• Provide warranty service and support.
• Maintain customer relationships and promote parts sales.

Requirements:

• Preferably an Associate’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of related field service experience.
• Preferably at least 3 years of project management experience.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to travel up to 75 percent and work on weekends when necessary.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

This position involves working in a manufacturing and warehousing environment. Duties may require sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, lifting in excess of 25 pounds with assistance, climbing stairs, using hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending at the waist, talking, and hearing. Visual requirements include close, distance, color, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
