Mmsteam near Pekin, IL is seeking a Field Service Engineer Specialist with local travel to diagnose, repair, install, and support CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment at customer sites. You will help keep customer operations productive and minimize downtime through hands-on technical work.

As a full-time Field Service Engineer Specialist, you will travel to client locations, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, and provide on-site training and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in field service or CNC repair.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
• Install, commission, and calibrate new machinery and systems.
• Troubleshoot CNC controls, PLCs, drives, motors, and automation components.
• Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Complete service documentation and communicate findings and recommendations.

As a Field Service Engineer Specialist / Travel Technician, you'll travel to customer locations providing hands-on troubleshooting, repair, installation, and technical support for CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment. Every day brings new challenges, and your expertise plays a direct role in keeping customer operations productive and efficient.

What You'll Be Doing

Requirements

What You Need

• 3-5+ years of field service, industrial maintenance, CNC repair, or equipment troubleshooting experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Experience working independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel regular

Preferred Qualifications

• CNC service or machine tool experience
• PLC troubleshooting and controls experience
• Equipment installation, commissioning, or startup experience
• Industrial automation experience
• Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Haas, or similar control systems
