Job summary

Franklin Electric is seeking a Field Service Engineer for the Northeast US, based in Massachusetts. The role requires 70% travel with up to 50% overnight stays. You will train distributors, troubleshoot products, and support installations across the region.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in water systems and a related degree, plus strong communication and collaborative skills to engage with customers and teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of related water systems experience (preferred).
  • Travels 70 percent of the time, including up to 50 percent overnight travel.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and provide technical training to distributors, contractors, dealers, and installers.
  • Test and troubleshoot Franklin Electric products; supervise installations.
  • Promotes and represents Franklin Electric products at tradeshows and events; conducts product demonstrations.
  • Collect and reports marketing information pertaining to competitive products, industry distribution or customer needs.
  • Writes and submits weekly and special reports highlighting problems at specific sites or with certain customers or products.
  • Interprets technical instructions and communicates clearly with customers and staff.

What you will be doing:

  • Schedules and provides technical training to distributor personnel, contractors, dealers, and/or installers.
  • Tests and troubleshoots Franklin Electric products. Supervises and assists at product installations.

  • Interprets an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deals with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and/or other employees of the organization.

What you need:

  • Three to five years of related water systems or industry experience (preferred).
