Waters is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support Flow Cytometry instruments in the Miami, FL area. This is a full-time field-based role with travel to customer sites and occasional remote work.

Responsibilities include installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting across electrical, fluidic, mechanical, software, and laser systems, with IQ/OQ certifications and parts management. A degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or extensive relevant experience as a Field Service Engineer.
  • Full US driving license.
  • Currently living within a daily commutable distance of Downtown Atlanta Georgia.

Responsibilities

  • Provide field-based and remote technical support to customers and colleagues in line with training and experience.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance, installation, relocation, repairs and corrective field change orders on Flow Cytometry instrumentation.
  • Diagnose electrical, fluidic, mechanical, hardware, software and laser failures using established procedures and techniques.
  • Determine the most cost-effective repair/solution to minimize downtime.
  • Perform instrument certifications (IQ/OQ).
  • Manage your car stock and ensure spare parts and tools are available.
  • Manage technical escalations and work toward service metrics.

Main responsibilities will include: Provide field-based and remote technical support to customers and colleagues in line with relevant training and experience. IT knowledge Flow Cytometry experience is a plus Experience working in the Telecoms, Robotics, Automation, and Medical Devices industries The ability to process knowledge across multi-modular and diverse product ranges Deliver high levels of customer service Physical demands: This is a full-time position, with evening work required as job duties demand. This job entails traveling to and from a customer site each day. An individual should be able to lift 50lbs, and be able to work in a standing position for a prolonged period of time.
