Job summary

Nova Biomedical in RTP (NC) seeks a Field Service Engineer II to meet daily service, maintenance and repair needs of customer equipment. You will establish professional relationships with customers and peers while handling required administrative duties.

Responsibilities include onsite/remote troubleshooting, IQOQ/OQ validations, preventive maintenance, inventory management, and field training for junior engineers.

Qualifications

  • Three years’ work experience in the medical device industry.
  • Experience interfacing with internal teams and external customers in a solution-based service process.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
  • Proven reliable and accountable for all aspects of their job.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce, and Teams.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
  • Resourceful, with ability to learn on the go.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task in a pressurized environment.

Responsibilities

  • Onsite and remote troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repairs on equipment.
  • Complete and manage IQOQ/OQ and Clinical Validations.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance and field modifications.
  • Order and manage car stock inventory.
  • Troubleshoot at application level as well as mechanical/electrical levels.
  • Schedule installations, PMs, repairs, and field events.
  • Provide occasional phone support and triage issues.
  • Maintain service records and timely reports.
  • Provide field training for junior field engineers.
  • Maintain daily communications with customers and escalation when needed.
  • Maintain tools and calibration of test equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for new service contracts or system sales.
  • Work in a team while independently managing territory.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA and FDA regulations.
  • Provide field training to others.
